Terms of Use

By using any of our machines, our wireless network, registering an account with the Hard Drive Cafe, or simply being on our property, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
- “We” refers to the Hard Drive Café, and Cybergrade technologies Inc. “Staff” refers to any employee or volunteer of the Hard Drive Café or Cybergrade technologies Inc. “Our facility” refers to the Cybergrade building, where the Hard Drive Café and Cybergrade technologies Inc. reside in.
- We have the right to refuse service to anyone, for any reason.
- Illegal activity of any kind will not be tolerated. If you are caught committing an illegal act, or we have suspicion that you have committed an illegal act, we may: call the police, terminate any and all time codes / access codes / memberships, put a temporary or permanent ban on you from entering any of our facilities. This includes theft, vandalism, and attempting to gain unauthorized access to any network or security system.
- Please respect our equipment, facility, and staff, as well as our other customer’s property. If you see someone damaging equipment (either purposely or by accident), let us know. Intentional damage to equipment or property will be treated as vandalism.
- Absolutely no outside food or drinks are to be brought inside our facility. If you become thirsty, or hungry, remember that we also sell drinks, and some light snacks.
- If you make a mess at our terminals, clean it up. If you can’t, let us know so that we can. No messy foods are to be brought to the computers, and any drinks near a computer should have a lid. We have ample tables around the café that you can use instead.
- Offensive body odour will not be tolerated. You will be asked to leave.
- Foul language, rough play, fighting, and threatening behaviour will not be tolerated.
- Bring your own property at your own risk. We are not responsible for anything that might happen while at our facility.
- We are not responsible for problems that occur beyond our control, such as power or Internet failure.
- In the event of a power failure, you will be asked to log off and may be asked to exit our facility (provided it is safe to do so).
- There may be times where either our network, or our Internet access, is not available. Generally, if neither of these is working, nobody will be permitted to use any of our terminals.
- We reserve the right to monitor our network for compliance to this Terms of Use. Non-specific information may be kept about which websites anybody using our terminals uses. Non-specific information includes the website name, address, and the time and date of the visit. This information is held on a secured server, and will not be shared with anybody else.
- Memberships are only to be used by the person the membership is registered to. Do not share your username and password with anybody else.
- Follow any direction given to you by our staff promptly.
- These rules and terms of use may change at any time.
